This handheld Soil Moisture Indicator tells you exactly when a field needs water. Insert the probe near the plant's root zone, press and hold the switch, and read the moisture level off a simple 4-colour LED scale: Blue (ample, no irrigation needed), Green (sufficient, not urgent), Yellow (low, irrigation advisable), or Red (very low, irrigate immediately). Skipping irrigation when it isn't needed — and catching shortages before they hurt yield — helps use water and pumping costs more efficiently while avoiding both drought stress and waterlogging.

How to use:
1. Choose a spot near the crop's root zone
2. Insert the probe vertically to root depth, press and hold the switch until the LED settles
3. Read the colour result (see scale above)
Note: don't test immediately after irrigation — check before your next watering for an accurate reading.
