Introduction
Hoe- Fork (Fork Powrah) is a manual hoe for surface cultivation and weed management. The unit weighs 1.6kg.
Product Description
Tata Agrico is a well-established Indian hand-tool brand (part of the Tata Steel group, in continuous production since 1925), and this 1.6kg version is the heavier of two Fork Powrah weights the brand offers — a lighter 0.5kg variant also exists for lighter-duty work.
The working head is moved through the upper soil layer to disturb unwanted growth and tidy the cultivated area. It is useful for maintaining spaces between plants or along beds where a full digging operation is not required. The hoe format lets the operator work progressively across a strip, keeping the depth and direction of each movement under hand control.
For bed maintenance, the working edge is guided through the space that needs attention rather than across the entire planted area indiscriminately. The operator can concentrate on a strip of weeds, a bed edge or a patch of loose surface soil. This local control makes the hoe useful between larger cultivation operations, when emerging weeds or disturbed bed surfaces need separate attention.
